Abstract
This degree project proposes a territorial intervention strategy based on the implementation of a scenic route as a structuring axis of the landscape, infrastructure and public space. The proposal arises from the recognition of the value of the journey as an active experience of permanence and contemplation, as opposed to the traditional logic of accelerated transit. In this sense, a route is proposed that not only connects geographical points, but also articulates landscape and cultural landmarks through spaces of detention and meeting. The work is structured in three main axes. First, the scenic route is approached as an opportunity to resignify the journey, transforming it into a means to activate the territory and promote sustainable tourism. Second, the role of complementary works is highlighted, understood as small-scale interventions that allow to establish a more direct and sensitive relationship between the user and the natural environment. Finally, an approach to the design of an urban park is developed, conceived as an articulating public space, capable of synthesizing the territorial principles of the project and responding to local needs from a participatory logic. The study considers both technical and social aspects, integrating field surveys, territorial analysis, urban design criteria and community linkage processes. Its relevance is reinforced by the current context, in which scenic routes are expanding in Chile, and by the future implementation of a new airport within the study area, which enhances its impact as an axis of tourist and social development at the regional level.
