Abstract
Las perforadoras autónomas han mejorado la forma en que se lleva a cabo el proceso de perforación en minería, utilizando tecnologías avanzadas para realizar perforaciones de manera independiente, buscando mejorar la eficiencia y seguridad en las operaciones mineras. Sin embargo, pasar de una perforación manual en cabina a autónoma no es “plug & play”. En la perforación autónoma se requieren condiciones específicas de operación que tienen diferencias con la perforación en cabina convencional.
El objetivo de esta memoria es entregar factores claves sobre la correcta implementación de perforadoras autónomas, visualizando las variables que se ven involucradas dentro de la incorporación de una nueva tecnología. Además, este trabajo incluye una descripción de la tecnología autónoma de perforadoras, una comparativa con el proceso de perforación manual junto con sus respectivos beneficios, limitaciones y riesgos que involucra la incorporación de la autonomía.
La metodología utilizada para evaluar técnica y económicamente la autonomía de perforadoras comienza por delinear los requerimientos de infraestructura y protocolos que se deben tener presentes para la autonomía de perforadoras, establecer la línea base de una operación manual de perforadoras con sus respectivos KPI (disponibilidad, utilización y rendimientos), luego incorporar las mejoras asociadas a la autonomía y evaluar los metros por perforadora al año para ambos escenarios. Finalmente, se dimensiona la flota autónoma, y se establecen los costos asociados a la incorporación de la autonomía para identificar el escenario más beneficioso del caso ejemplo.
Autonomous drill rigs have improved the drilling process in mining by utilizing advanced technologies to independently carry out drilling operations, aiming to enhance efficiency and safety. However, transitioning from manual cabin drilling to autonomous drilling is not a "plug & play" process. Autonomous drilling requires specific operating conditions that differ from conventional cabin drilling. The objective of this report is to provide key factors for the successful implementation of autonomous drill rigs, considering the variables involved in adopting new technology. Additionally, this work includes a description of autonomous drill rig technology, a comparison with manual drilling processes, and their respective benefits, limitations, and associated risks. The methodology used to evaluate the technical and economic aspects of autonomous drill rigs begins by outlining the infrastructure requirements and protocols necessary for autonomous drilling. It establishes a baseline for manual drill rig operations with their respective key performance indicators (availability, utilization, and performance). Then, it incorporates the improvements associated with autonomy and evaluates the meters drilled per drill rig per year for both scenarios. Finally, it determines the autonomous fleet size and identifies the costs associated with implementing autonomy to identify the most beneficial scenario for the case study.
