Abstract
With the constant publication of star catalogs, it becomes necessary to have technologies that facilitate the processing and analysis of data for astronomers, thus speeding up their work and decision-making. Stellar parameters constitute crucial information in the study of stars, so having tools that deliver these parameters is relevant. Recently, methodologies from Artificial Intelligence have shown favorable results in the treatment of stellar spectra for the prediction of parameters. In particular, convolutional neural networks have a special affinity for solving this type of problem. This study presents the results of using a deep ensemble methodology, employing convolutional neural networks trained on synthetic spectra of type B stars, to estimate the parameters Teff, log g, and v sin i of observed spectra from the BeSOS catalog. The results demonstrate an average error of 27 %, 9 %, and 6 % for each parameter respectively in this catalog, along with significant conclusions for improving this and other methodologies in future research.
