Abstract
El depósito de cobre perteneciente a una compañía minera del Norte Grande, cuenta con un sistema global de recuperación de aguas alumbradas (dewatering) compuesto por tres sistemas de impulsión en serie los cuales se describen a continuación:- Sistema de impulsión móvil sobre balsa (fondo mina), está compuesto de un conjunto balsa-bomba vertical e impulsa hacia la Estación 4135,- Estación 4135, compuesta por una conjunto balsa-bomba vertical (modelo VTP 170 de 6 etapas de la marca Neptune), y una tubería de descarga Pexgol clase 24, diámetro 225 mm que re-impulsa hacia la Estación 4300.- Estación 4300, compuesta por dos bombas KSB Multitec C 100/ 5-8.1 30.66 SP, y una tubería de descarga Pexgol clase 24, diámetro 225 mm, que re-impulsa hacia la piscina de procesos N°03.Las estaciones 4135 y 4300 presentan problemas de diseño y de operación, lo cual genera un riesgo latente para la seguridad del personal, como también de que el sistema falle afectando la operación normal del rajo.Del estudio realizado, se obtuvieron dos alternativas de solución, las cuales difieren en el hecho de que en la primera alternativa se optimiza los costos de inversión involucrados en las obras y en la segunda se busca obtener ventajas técnicas de relevancia.Para la alternativa “Alternativa N°1 – Estandarización del sistema actual” se contempla las siguientes obras y puntos de relevancia.- Se mantienen los caudales de impulsión actuales, lo cual representa una condición aceptable pero que se encuentra en el límite de lo recomendable.- Se debe cambiar el tramo de tubería flexible Angus Wellmaster 200 de 6” de diámetro, por una tubería Pexgol Clase 24 de 225 mm de diámetro (o alguna otra de características similares).- Rediseñar los manifold existentes en las estaciones 4135 y 4300.Rediseñar el bastidor de las bombas de impulsión de la estación 4300 (de similares características al existente) al cual se le adosa un volumen de hormigón.- El valor total de las obras involucradas en esta alternativa asciende a 634.107 USD.Para la alternativa “Alternativa N°2 - Reemplazo de equipos y estandarización del sistema actual” se contempla los siguientes obras y puntos de relevancia.- Las obras descritas para la Alternativa N°1, forman parte íntegramente de esta alternativa.- En esta alternativa se busca obtener una mayor seguridad operacional, una mayor confiabilidad de los equipos, y tener la capacidad de impulsar a lo menos un 20% sobre los actuales flujos de impulsión.- Se contempla el reemplazo de los siguiente tramos en las tuberías de impulsión:o En la estación 4135 se reemplazan los primeros 360 m (el tramo total tiene una extensión de 1,4 km). La tubería considerada corresponde a una tubería Pexgol Clase 30 de 200 mm de diámetro.o En la estación 4300 se reemplazan los primero 200 m de ambas tuberías de impulsión (el tramo total tiene una extensión de 2,3 km). La tubería considerada corresponde a una tubería Pexgol Clase 30 de 200 mm de diámetro.- Reemplazo de las bombas KSB Multitec C 100/ 5-8.1 30.66 SP existentes, por unas Multitec C 100/ 3-8.1 30.67. Esto se realiza para obtener una bomba que no tenga la capacidad de operar excesivamente sobre la presión máxima que soporta la tubería de impulsión. Como ventaja secundaria se logra obtener un menor consumo de energía eléctrica.- El valor total de las obras involucradas en esta alternativa asciende a 1.991.687 USD.
First of all, the deposit of cooper from a big company in the “Norte Grande” of Chile, has a global dewatering recovery (pit dewatering system). It is comprised by three systems of impulsion (serial), which are described below:- Mobile impulsion system on raft (background mine), it is comprised by a vertical pump - raft set. This system sends water to the Station No 4135.- Station No. 4135, it is comprised by a vertical pump-raft set (Neptuno pump, VTP 170 model, with 6 stages) and one discharge pipe with 225 mm diameter, Pexgol 24 class . This system re-sends water to the Station No. 4300.- Station No. 4300, it is comprised by two vertical pumps (KSB Multitec C 100/ 5-8.1 30.66 SP) and one discharge pipe with 225 mm diameter, Pexgol 24 class . This system re-sends water to the process pond No. 03Stations No. 4135 and 4300 have problems of both design and operation. It is a latent risk for the operator’s security. Also, the system can have a failure and the normal operation of the mine can be affected.Two alternatives of solution were obtained from the study. First alternative is focused in the optimization of the investment costs, and the second alternative is focused in to obtain technical advantages.For the alternative “Alternative No. 1 – Standardization of the current system”, the next works and relevant points are considered:- Present flow of water is maintained, which is an acceptable condition, but it is close to the recommended acceptable limits.- It must change the part of the flexible pipe with 6'' diameter “Angus Wellmaster 200”, by one pipe with 225 mm diameter, Pexgol 24 class (or another kind of pipe with similar characteristics).- Re-design the existent manifolds of the Stations No. 4135 and 4300.Re-design the frame of the impulsion pumps of the Station No. 4300 (of similar characteristics of the current frame), which a concrete volume is added.- Total investment value for these works is 634.107 USD.For the alternative “Alternative No. 2 – Equipment replacement and standardization of the current system”, the next works and relevant points are considered:- All works that are described in the Alternative No. 1 are considered.- In the present alternative, the main objective is to get a better operational security, a better equipment reliability, and get the capability to impulse the present flow plus a 20% more, at least.- Replacing of the next parts of the impulsion pipes is considered:o In the Station No. 4135, the first part of 360 m of the pipe is replaced (the complete length of the pipe is 1,4 km). It need to use a pipe of 200 mm diameter, Pexgol 30 class.o In the Station No. 4135, the first part of 200 m of both impulsion pipes is replaced (the complete length of the pipe is 2,3 km). It need to use a pipe of 200 mm diameter, Pexgol 30 class.- Replacing of the KSB Multitec C 100/ 5-8.1 30.66 SP pumps. This replacing is doing in order to avoid excessive pressures over the maximum pressure supported by the pipe. Secondary advantage is to obtain a less energy consumption.- Total investment value for these works is 1.991.687 USD.
