Abstract
El uso eficiente del recurso hídrico, a nivel sanitario en Chile, está lejos delestándar internacional, existiendo diversas organizaciones que velan por mantener unnivel de eficiencia entre los productos comercializados, como por ejemplo la EPA(“United States Environmental Protection Agency”) quien a través del programaWaterSense lidera, entre otros, la certificación de equipos hidro-sanitarios a nivelmundial. La eficiencia del área hidro-sanitaria se hace especialmente importante en lazona centro del país al considerar la fuerte sequía prolongada que la afecta, la cual hallevado ciertas zonas al racionamiento de agua potable, y mantiene año a año a lasgrandes urbes en peligro inminente de sufrir un desabastecimiento.Por lo anterior, a través de la empresa Chubretovic y Cía. Ltda., se plantea lanecesidad de implementar un laboratorio, enfocado a efectuar difusión sobre laimportancia de la inclusión de artefactos sanitarios de alta eficiencia en el usocotidiano, focalizado en la zona centro del país. Dicho planteamiento se materializaen el diseño y consideraciones de implementación de un laboratorio de ensayoinstalaciones hidro-sanitarias, mediante el cual se pretende abarcar el uso en las áreastécnica, capacitación y “marketing” dentro de dicha empresa.Finalmente se dan lineamientos para su operación y uso, enfocados a las áreasde capacitación técnica y difusión de tecnología, con las cuales se espera que dichainstalación provea un impacto positivo a la sociedad, produciendo conciencia delproblema y sus soluciones, abocándose a usuarios, clientes, y autoridades.
Water efficiency, at a sanitary level in Chile, is far below the internationalstandards, having various organizations advocated to maintain the efficiency levelamong commercialized products, such as the EPA (United States EnvironmentalProtection Agency), who through it’s WaterSense program leads, among others,certification of hydro-sanitary equipment at an international level. Hydro-sanitaryefficiency gathers importance at the central part of the country, every time that theeffects from the strong prolonged drought is considered, which has led certain areasinto water rationing, while the large cities maintain a year by year imminent dangerof suffering shortages.Due to the above, through the company “Chubretovic y Cia. Ltda.”, arises theneed to implement a laboratory, focused to disseminate the importance of includinghigh efficiency fixtures for everyday use, focalized in the center of the country. Thelater is embodied in the design and implementation considerations for hydro-sanitaryfacilities testing laboratory, whereby is intended to encompass technical, training andmarketing areas by the company.Finally, guidelines for its operation and use are given, focused on technicaltraining and dissemination of technology, expecting such facility to provide a positiveimpact on society, producing awareness about the problem and its solutions,advocating to its users, clients and authorities.
