Abstract
Este documento presenta un análisis estratégico y propuestas de estrategia competitiva a nivel de negocio y funcional para una firma de servicios profesionales en consultoría de negocio, la cual desde la perspectiva del ciclo de vida organizacional, está transitando desde una fase embrionaria hacia la fase inicial. Las alternativas estratégicas son el resultado de la aplicación de un proceso estructurado de planificación estratégica, que comprendió un análisis del ambiente externo e interno, con particular profundidad en el análisis del entorno industrial. En correspondencia con el enfoque de administración estratégica basado en recursos considerado en la planificación, las estrategias se sustentan en los recursos y capacidades de la firma para buscar una posición de mercado particular a través de una propuesta de valor congruente con una redefinición de la misión estratégica. Las acciones estratégicas se orientan principalmente a resolver algunas debilidades que afectan el desempeño de actividades primarias de la cadena de valor y al uso de las competencias de la firma para explotar contingencias y tendencias del contexto general y el entorno competitivo que alcanzan el ámbito de sus servicios, con el fin último de asistir al emprendimiento en su intento por penetrar el mercado.
This document presents a strategic analysis and competitive strategy proposal at a business and functional level for a professional business consulting firm that under the perspective of organizational life cycle moves from start up stage to the early stage. The strategic choices are the result of applying a structured and strategic planning process, which included an analysis of external and internal environment factors, and a thorough analysis of the industrial environment. According to the strategic administration focus of the resources considered in the planning, the strategies are based on the resources and capabilities of the firm to seek a particular market position through a consistent value proposal redefining the strategic mission. Strategic actions are mainly oriented to solve some weaknesses that affect the performance of primary activities of the value chain and to use the skills of the firm to exploit the context contingencies and general trends and also the competitive environment within the scope of their services, with the ultimate aim of assisting the enterprise on its attempt to penetrate the market.
