Abstract
WHAT? It is a sculptural proposal that experiments with the shape of a structure and the physical phenomena of its context to produce sounds. In this case, it is a small portal located on the beach of a rural area called Los Quinquelles, in the municipality of La Ligua, Valparaíso region. WHY? The project aims to create a point of tourist attraction, enhancing an area already visited by locals. The main idea, apart from bringing visibility to the location, is to make art accessible to the population in open spaces far from urban centers. The initiative is supported by an architectural proposal, emphasizing that art, architecture, and science are interconnected and can be enjoyed by everyone in any context. HOW? Primarily through material and morphological exploration, focusing on how these two elements interact, understanding that the project will be located in an open space and, therefore, the environment itself will complement and bring the project to life. It also considers the complexity involved in producing sounds outdoors. As a final stage, a full-scale model is proposed, which will be installed at the initially chosen site.
