Abstract
This work seeks to promote reading through the development of new spaces in unconventional places, focusing on children since they are in the midst of development of their skills, such as creativity, imagination, among others. To do this, it is proposed to work with a structure that has the capacity to be expandable and transportable, installing it in a more public place, so that users can access reading more quickly. This structure allows interaction with users directly or around it, giving the possibility and flexibility to use the space as they deem appropriate for reading, an activity that can be carried out individually or together. For the development of this work, the state of the art and the way in which reading is promoted at a national and international level is studied. The tools used are based on analysis of users, interviews and surveys of different public entities or institutions that are associated with reading and working with children. Some libraries in the Valparaíso region are analyzed, in addition to studying some international references, through photographic records, measurements and dimensions of existing spaces, taking into account each of the elements that compose them, their functioning, the way they are inhabited, context, among others. Own experiences are also carried out that aim to study the relationship between reading, the body and space. Located in different environments and contexts, analyzing the impact that reading has on users.
