Abstract
This Final Degree Project focuses on the design and development of a web-based system that functions as a digital tourist passport for the city of Viña del Mar, aimed at enhancing the tourist experience and strengthening municipal tourism management. The proposal arises from the need to modernize access to tourist information, benefits, and discounts through digital tools that centralize services and improve interaction between tourists, local businesses, and the municipality. Initially conceived as a mobile application, the project evolved into a web platform due to considerations related to accessibility, scalability, cost efficiency, and ease of maintenance. The platform enables tourist registration, digital passport generation with QR codes, access to discounts and promotions, benefit redemption, and report generation to support data-driven decision-making by municipal authorities. The system was developed using modular architecture, incorporating features such as user and administrator authentication, benefit management, stay registration, identity validation, QR-based redemption, and statistical reporting. The development process followed an engineering design approach, defining functional and non-functional requirements and validating each module progressively to ensure alignment with the project objectives. From an economic and strategic perspective, the project evaluates(...).
