Abstract
The Acacia Wellness Center is an architectural project conceived as a space for holistic healing in the Casablanca Valley, aiming to reconnect individuals with nature and with themselves through sensory experience. It emerges as a response to the growing emotional and mental crisis brought on by contemporary urban life, proposing a retreat environment where architecture becomes an active tool for well-being. The project is grounded in a holistic understanding of health, viewing the individual as an indivisible unity of body, mind, and spirit. From this perspective, architectural space is conceived as a mediator in the healing process, integrating nature, materiality, and light into a continuous experience of introspection and reconnection. The proposal is located in a privileged rural context, where the landscape, climate, and topography of the valley become essential components of the design. The golden ratio is employed as a structuring principle, providing harmony and coherence across all scales of the project—from territorial layout to constructive module. The complex is organized around a spatial narrative composed of six stages that structure the visitor’s experience through different environments. Each of these spaces offers a unique relationship between body, light, and landscape. Materiality is rooted in the local environment: stone walls and wooden structures interact with native vegetation, generating warm, tactile, and meditative atmospheres.
