dc.description.abstract The present document will address, on the topic of inclusive design, the design development process of an assistive product through rapid prototyping technologies, to allow handicap users to be able to serve up hot drinks. Making use of User Centered Design and Design thinking guidelines to be able to familiarize with the context of impaired or handicapped users, looking for the main functional barriers that impact on their daily activities, identifying those that have room for innovation. After the selection of the activity “To serve up tea/coffee” we process to identify the main requirements that the prototype needs to address, so the activity can be adapted to handicap and wheelchairs users, through benchmarking of the alternative products on the market of assistive technologies. The next stage will approach the main design process, from the generation of ideas to the creation of a prototype model through additive manufacturing, allowing the product to move from an abstract concept to a tangible object that users can interact with and test. Finally, the development of the prototype will be displayed on a chronological order, showing the diverse iterations of the stages of validation test on-field and the feedback gathered from the target user. As result, a tangible and functional prototype will be presented, along with the next step of the evolution of the project as a commercial product.en
