Abstract
El desarrollo de videojuegos es un proceso multidisciplinario complejo con mucho espacio de estudio y mejora. En la presente memoria se realiza un análisis de las mejores practicas de ingeniería de software y desarrollo de videojuegos aplicables a un proyecto de desarrollo de una persona según los estándares del Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio, construyendo un plan de trabajo; una propuesta suficiente para postular a fondos concursables del ministerio; y desarrollando un prototipo equivalente a una versión pre-alfa, elementos posteriormente evaluados con una buena recepción por expertos en la industria chilena de los videojuegos.
El proceso documentado y su satisfactorio resultado han de servir de referencia para futuros estudios del proceso de creación de videojuegos, y para guiar a futuros desarrolladores en la planificación y desarrollo de sus proyectos.
Game development is a complex multidisciplinary process with much room for study and improvement. In the present document an analysis is made about the best practices usually found in software engineering and/or in game development, as long as they are applicable to a project with a single developer made according to the standards set by the Ministery of Culture, Arts and Patrimony. The next step is to build a work plan; a project proposal that meets the standards set by the competitive funds of the ministery; and developing a prototype equivalent to a pre-alpha, elements which are then evaluated by experts in the chilean industry of game development, with a possitive final result. The documented process and its satisfactory result shall be of reference for future studies on the process of game development, and serve as a guide for future developers when planning and developing their projects.
