Abstract
El internet de las cosas ha tenido un crecimiento exponencial durante losúltimos años, sin embargo la adopción del IoT se ve amenazada por diferentesproblemáticas propias de esta tecnología. Escalabilidad, seguridad y privacidad, sonproblemas claves que se tienen que resolver a un corto plazo. Blockchain se muestracomo una tecnología altamente segura, escalable y descentralizada, por lo cual sepropone combinar estas dos tecnologías para ayudar aliviar el dolor de la seguridad yprivacidad de los datos en el IoT. Se implementó una Blockchain Privada con HyperledgerFabric en tres máquinas virtuales junto a una API REST y una web AngularJS.Seguidamente se instancio un caso de uso en donde se monitoriza la temperatura de unacadena de transporte con sensores IoT, con la finalidad de almacenar el dato detemperatura en la cadena de bloques. Junto con demostrar que Blockchain y IoT secomplementan, se verificó que Hyperledger Fabric es un framework altamente seguro,escalable y eficiente en cuanto a performance tanto en la red blockchain como elconsumo de hardware. Esta implementación no solamente sirve para combinar Blockchainmás IoT, sino que abre las puertas para otras casos de usos en donde se utilicen distintastecnologías como Blockchain de base.
The internet of things has had an exponential growth those last years.However, the adoption of IoT has been threatened by different own problems of thistechnology. Scalability, security and privacy, are crucial problems to resolve in the shortterm. Blockchain is shown as a high security technology, scalable and decentralized,therefore is proposed to combine both technologies as an aid to relieve the data securityand privacy pain in the IoT. Is implemented a private Blockchain with Hyperledger Fabricin three virtual machines along with a API REST and an AngularJS web. Afterwards isinstantiated a case of use where the transport chain temperature is monitored by IoTsensors, in order to store the Blockchain temperature data. Along with demonstrating thecompatibility between Blockchain and IoT, is also verified that Hyperledger Fabric is a highsecurity framework, scalable and efficient in its performance both in the Blockchain redand hardware consume. This implementation is not only useful to combine Blockchain andIoT, but also leaves the door open for other cases of use where different technologies asBlockchain are used as base.
