Abstract
Human Reliability as the capacity of effective performance of people in a specific work environment, can be analyzed by multiple methodologies, which allow to define the gaps and weaknesses that hinder the improvement of industrial productivity.Every so often, some catastrophe reminds us that the weakest link in a production system is man, and therefore, in turn, he has the guarantee and reliability of its operation. There is talk of human error, it is said that the lack of reliability in a system is due to the fact that, after all, it is handled by men.A reflection on this problem is necessary. Human error is treated as the inevitable, which always escapes controllable and measurable, which seems to be subtitled "of the impossibility of foreseeing stupidity and human clumsiness".The main objective of this thesis was the exploratory analytical development of models of fundamental concepts in the field of human reliability. The purpose was to bring and provide a conceptual and analytical view that human error is measurable in terms of the limits and capabilities of man, as well as the methods usually accepted in these matters
