Abstract
Esta memoria surge de la permanente búsqueda del Departamento de Informática de laUTFSM por la mejora continua, específicamente en la carrera Ingeniería Civil Informática trassu última renovación de Acreditación Nacional CNA. Se plantea ahora, orientar los esfuerzospara indagar en la acreditación internacional ABET para Ciencias en Computación (CAC).Para ello, se analizaron ambas acreditaciones, comparando criterios de evaluación exigidospor cada una, obteniéndose un alto grado de relación, que permitiría cubrir la gran parte delas exigencias de ABET en base al sustento y documentación que se tiene actualmente paraCNA. Dado que además, el modo de preparación es muy parecido, surge una propuesta demodelo de trabajo usando la metodología de mejoramiento continuo, que permitiría llevara la carrera a una acreditación ABET, manteniendo la acreditación CNA actual. Esto, da piepara sostener que dicho proceso es factible. Cabe destacar, que existe una Resolución Exenta(Núm. DJ 003-4) recientemente aprobada en el país (7 feb, 2018), que impacta en las formasde acreditación de carreras, por lo que las bases de análisis realizados, se fundamentan enlas leyes y normas que se han aplicado hasta el año 2017.
This work arises from the permanent search of the UTFSM’s Informatic Department for continuous improvement, specifically in the Informatic career after the renewal of the National Accreditation CNA. It is proposed now, guide the efforts to investigate the International Accreditation ABET for Computing Sciences (CAC). To do this, both accreditations were analyzed, comparing the evaluation criteria required by each one, obtaining a high degree of relationship, which would cover the great part of ABET’s requirements based on the livelihood and documentation that it currently has for CNA. Since, in addition, the mode of preparation is similar,it’s proposed a work model using the methodology of continuous improvement, which allows to evolve the career to an accreditation of ABET, maintaining the current CNA accreditation. This gives grounds to hold that this process is feasible. It should be noted that there is an Exempt Resolution (No. DJ 003-4) recently approved in the country (February 7, 2018), which impacts the forms of accreditation of careers, therefore, the bases of analysis carriedout are based on the laws and regulations that have been applied up to the year 2017.
