Abstract
The present work shows the design and construction of a CNC milling cutter capableof developing PCB circuits boards by machining.Following the methodology developed by Morris Asimow, design is divided into conceptual, configuration and detail, adding the manufacturing stage. From this a greaterclarity was obtained in the problem to be solved, studying and prioritizing needs ofpotential users, establishing functional requirements and making comparisons betweenequipment and external components. This allowed generating various options and alsofinding the most appropriate solution to the problem. The structural considerations for the design were determined and a prototype was developedin Autodesk Inventor, then plans were generated to perform machining of piecesin a laser cutter and manufacture in 3D printers in San Joaqu´in Campus. Once the previousstep was completed, total cost was specified. Finally, a prototype was constructed and machining tests were made on wood andcopper plates to verify correct operation and obtain optimal cutting parameters, demonstratingthat all design specifications and proposed objectives are met.
