Abstract
La inclusión de baterías dentro de los sistemas de potencia es una realidad, y cada día se acrecienta su incorporación, siendo los usos de los baterías tan diversos como los tipos y modelos empleados. Es así como este estudio buscó evaluar el aporte de dichos equipos al problema de control de frecuencia. A continuación, se resumen los pasos realizados para abordar el objetivo, y sus respectivas conclusiones. En primer lugar, se realizó un análisis bibliográfico de la situación actual sobre el uso de los sistemas de almacenamiento, dando énfasis al almacenamiento electroquímico. De la revisión se llegó a la conclusión que uno de los puntos que presenta mayor beneficio para los sistemas de potencia al incluir batería en su funcionamiento es la regulación de frecuencia.

In this context, the study sought to evaluate the contribution of such equipment in the problem of frequency control. Then, are summarizes the steps taken to address the objective, and their conclusions. First, a literature review of the current situation regarding the use of storage systems was performed, emphasizing the electrochemical storage. From the review, it was concluded that one of the points that has the greatest benefit for power systems when including a battery in its operation is frequency regulation.
