Abstract
This work proposes to evaluate how the sensory variables that make up architectural atmospheres influence users’ emotional and spatial perception within virtual reality (VR) environments. Objectives and Background: The main objective is to analyze how each of these sensory variables affects the perception of virtual spaces. The motivation behind this study lies in the need to better understand the complexity of architectural atmospheres and the sensory experiences within digital environments created in VR. Methodology: The research will be carried out in three phases: first, the sensory variables will be individually assessed through specific virtual environments: second, these variables will be combined to create complex atmospheric experiences: and finally, users will be allowed to design and modify ther own ideal architectural atmospheres. Questionnaires and surveys will be used to collect data on participants' emotional and spatial perception, and statistical methods wil be applied for data analysis. Scope an Projections: This work aims to contribute to the understanding and experimentation of architectural atmospheres, providing a framework for both analyzing and designing them. By exploring the interaction between sensory variables and human perception in VR. the study seeks to advance the development of immersive experiences that optimize users' spatial perception and emotional engagement.
