Abstract
The techniques of volumetric mesh generation based on octrees, seek therepresentation of complex geometries, in a fast way and reasonable quality. Different authors have proposed variants for the technique of octrees in the search to generate 1-irregular and congruent meshes. This memory reproduced the algorithm of volumetric meshes treated by the work of Ito et al, of which there was no source code. Based on this, comparisons were made with the technique proposed in the work of Lobos and González on various surfaces meshes. The tests performed quantified substantial differences in the amount of elements generated by level of refinement as well as the impact of the diversity of transition patterns on the quality of the generated volume.
