Abstract
En Constitución, playa “El Arenal”, frente en donde está emplazada la celulosa Arauco, se detecta un desgaste importante de dos Molos existentes (Norte y Sur) que enmarcan la zona de la planta, además del deterioro de la protección frontal. El mar con el tiempo ha ido ganando terreno en el sector, generando un riesgo para las instalaciones. Para esto, se propone solucionar la problemática con un proyecto que consta de tres frentes de trabajo:Para el Molo Sur, el proyecto constituye la reparación del frente. Se propone reforzar la estructura actual en una longitud de 150 m. Se considera la remoción de bloques antiguos y desgastados, los que serán usados para reforzar el pie en los sectores que presenten mayor debilidad. Se contempla la protección de la coraza con Tricubos y del coronamiento con un Parapeto y bloques de hormigón simple, para reforzar el talud y aumentar la resistencia a la acción del oleaje rompiente.El objetivo consiste en aliviar la carga sobre los elementos existentes y recomponer la estructura aumentando su resistencia y mejorando las condiciones de estabilidad y sobrepaso de mar.En el caso de la Escollera de protección, también se plantea la reparación. Y para esto se contempla el refuerzo del talud en una longitud de 365 m. Se proyecta un pie que permita conservar el talud ante la acción de oleaje rompiente y variaciones del nivel de playa. Adicionalmente, se considera la protección del camino ubicado detrás de la escollera, con la colocación de rocas pesadas que aumentan la cota y robustez de la estructura.El objetivo es recuperar la seguridad en la estabilidad del talud, y generar el rompimiento en la zona del pie reduciendo la carga sobre el talud. La colocación de rocas en el coronamiento disminuye el sobrepeso y el deterioro del camino.Por otra parte, en el proyecto de reparación del molo norte, se plantea la construcción de un espigón semi sumergido de 90 m de longitud, el cual se inicia perpendicular a la escollera en la zona de bloques, y finaliza al unirse al actual molo. Se proyecta la disposición de una base de rocas, y un coronamiento de dos capas de roca pesada, además de un pie extenso que permita conservar el talud y funcionamiento de la estructura independiente de las variaciones del nivel del perfil de playa.El objetivo es apoyar la funcionalidad de la disminuida estructura del molo norte, permitiendo finalmente la recuperación del perfil de playa en este sector.
In Constitution beach, specifically in "El Arenal", opposite where the Celulosa Arauco is located, it is detected a significant wear of two existing Molos (North and South) that frame the area of the factory. Moreover, a deterioration of the frontal protection is detected as well. Over time, the sea has been gaining ground in the sector, creating a risk to the facility. On account of this, it is proposed to solve the problem with a project consisting of three work faces:For the South Molo, the project consists of repairing the front. It is proposed to strengthen the current structure over a length of 150 m. It is also considered the removal of old and worn blocks, which will be used to strengthen the base in the sectors with greatest weakness. It is taken into account the protection of the frame with Tricubos and Parapeto and blocks made of concrete. In the same way, it is contemplated the reinforcement of the slope increasing its resistance to the action of breaking waves.The main purpose is to ease the load on existing elements and recompose the structure increasing its resistance and improving conditions of stability and sea excess.It is also meant to be repaired the Escollera of Protection. And for this, it is considered a slope reinforcement of a length of 365 m. It is intended a base that allows keeping the slope protected from the waves and sea levels. In addition, it is considered the protection of the road located behind the breakwater, with the placement of heavy rocks that increase the height and strength of the structure.The objective is to recover the security in the stability of the slope, and generate the breakage in the base area by reducing the load on the slope. The fact of placing rocks at capstone causes a decrease in overweight and minimizes the deterioration of the road.Moreover, this project proposes to repair the North molo, building a breakwater semi submerged 90 meters long, which starts perpendicular to the breakwater in the block zone, and ends by joining the current molo. Besides, it is planned a base rock, and the crowning of two layers of heavy rock, and an extensive base that allows the preservation of the slope and the operation of the independent structure of the variation of the beach profile level.The aim is to support the functionality of the decreased North molo structure, finally allowing the recovery of the beach profile in this sector.
