Abstract
Entrepreneurship is the engine of the economies all over the world, and Chile is not an exception. It is a source of innovation and employment that adds special value to the economy of a country, when it is successfully fulfilled. In Chile, entrepreneurship counts with several alternatives to be financed in different levels, including people own founds, family and friends support or even Venture Capital. There is also the possibility of government support, administered by the privates, or even 100% can come from the privates as such. There are several possibilities such as Seed Capital, Angels Investors, Guaranteed Governments Funds, among others. One of the biggest problems entrepreneurs must face is the restricted access to traditional financing sources, generally given by financial institutions; represented most of the times by banks. This situation comes because of the lack of economic resources of entrepreneurs in the early stages of its development and the high risk that it represents, that lets them out of traditional financing ways. As an answer to this situation there comes the possibility of Government financing such as Seed Capital, at the very beginning of the process. In further stages, there are other possibilities such as Angels Investors, which are private funds who are looking for innovative entrepreneurs which ideas have a high growth potential and are already operating, at least with some sales. Alternatives such as Venture Capital and banks, comes at the very final stages of the project.
