Abstract
La humanidad se ha visto enfrentada a múltiples cambios en su historia, la sustentabilidad de la especie se ha caracterizado por la evolución en los procesos productivos y el siglo XXI no ha sido la excepción de aquello. Se enfrenta la época de la digitalización o también llamada transformación digital, tendencia que busca fusionar procesos previamente realizados por humanos con técnicas de la informática, que los convierten en actividades más eficientes.
La digitalización amenaza a distintas industrias, afectando a aquellos competidores que no aceptan e introducen esta nueva forma de hacer las cosas, quedando obsoletos, perdiendo posiciones de liderazgo e incluso competitividad, quedando relegados a la desaparición.
El presente estudio abarca el análisis de la situación actual con respecto a las tendencias de digitalización. Se presenta un modelo de transformación digital adaptado a la industria de la educación superior, con foco en la educación de posgrado transformando desde el modelo de negocios hasta la experiencia en el servicio. El modelo propuesto permite analizar el riesgo de la digitalización de la industria, el mercado potencial, las herramientas y actividades a realizar para obtener una transición hacia la digitalización.
Se presenta un estudio con análisis descriptivo sobre la situación actual y las proyecciones de la digitalización en la industria de la educación superior. Además, se definen y desarrollan herramientas que permitirán al lector, generar distintas capacidades para enfrentar un proceso de transformación digital de forma exitosa. Al finalizar el documento, se presenta una evaluación de proyecto de un caso tipo, que aplica el modelo propuesto con el fin de evidenciar posibles resultados de su aplicación.
Humanity has faced multiple changes in its history, the species sustainability has been characterized by the evolution of the productive process and the XXI century has not being an exception. We are facing the era of digitalization or digital transformation is faced, this tendency search human power processes with computer power processes to increase its efficiency. Digitalization threatens different industries, evidencing that those competitors that does not accept or introduce this new war of doing things, by simply going obsolete, losing their leadership and even all sorts of competitiveness. This study includes the analysis of the actual situation of digitalization trends and presents a model with focus in higher education industry, specifically in the post-graduate education, by transforming it into a digital industry. The proposed model analyzes the risk of the industry digitalization, the potential market, and the steps to be performed in a transition towards digitalization. The study presents a descriptive analysis of the state of the art and the projections of the digitalization within the higher education industry. The proposed model includes a set of tools to achieve a transformation process in a successful way, these tools are executed at the end of the study in the development of a case study, that shows possible results of the whole model.
