dc.description.abstractLa minería es una de las principales actividades de la economía nacional. Aportando el 9% del PIB, siendo el área con mayor inversión extranjera con un tercio del total. Chile es el principal productor a nivel mundial de cobre. El 90% del cobre que actualmente se produce de la minería son de minas a rajo abierto.Como toda industria, la minería, requiere de planes de mantenimiento para sus equipos, los cuales deben cumplir con las metas de producción propuestas. Implementar un plan de mantenimiento que asegure la eficiencia de estas, requiere de un gran conocimiento de los equipos, de los procedimientos de reparación, de sus contextos operacionales, etc. Existe una gran cantidad de factores que pueden influir entre aplicar un tipo de mantenimiento u otro, y para ello se debe realizar un análisis y entender cuáles son los objetivos que se quieren alcanzar.En el presente trabajo se explica y desarrolla la metodología de gestión de mantenimiento denominada RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), que se traduce al español como Mantenimiento Centrado en la Confiabilidad. Esta herramienta del mantenimiento es aplicada por las gerencias de grandes empresas, las cuales buscan aumentar principalmente la confiabilidad y disponibilidad de sus activos.Esta metodología se aplicó específicamente al equipo Chancador Fuller Traylor TCB 42”x 66”.En este trabajo se entregan los principales conceptos de RCM y se desarrolló paso a paso el flujograma de implementación del Mantenimiento Centrado en la Confiabilidad, desde el planteamiento de las funciones de los subsistemas hasta determinar las tareas de mantenimiento, para los modos de fallas más frecuentes del equipo.es_CL
dc.description.abstractMining is one of the main activities of the national economy. contributing 9% of the GDP, and it is the area with greater foreign investment, reaching one third of the total. Chile is the world's leading producer of copper. And 90% of its current production comes from open pit mines.Like every industry, mining requires maintenance plans for their equipment, which must comply with the proposed production goals. Implementing a maintenance plan that ensures the efficiency of this goals, requires a great knowledge of the equipment, repairing, their operational contexts, etc. There are a lot of factors that can influence in wether to apply one type of maintenance or another, and for this you have to analysis and fully understand what are the objectives you want to achieve.This paper explains and develops the maintenance management methodology called RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance). This maintenance tool is applied by administrattions of large companies, which mainly seek to increase the reliability and availability of their assets.This methodology was specifically applied to the grinder machine Fuller Traylor TCB 42 "x 66".In the paper the main concepts of RCM were delivered and the flowchart of implementation of the Reliability Centered Maintenance was developed step by step, from the presentation of the functions of the subsystems to the determination the maintenance tasks, for the most frequent failure modes of the team.eng
