dc.description.abstractEste estudio contempla la realización de un inventario de emisiones GEI procedentes del sector aéreo, particularmente en los principales aeropuertos del país en el año 2015. Este inventario es generado a través de una metodología internacional y una base de datos que contiene aproximadamente 440.000 movimientos de aeronaves, proporcionada por la Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil. Las emisiones son calculadas en base a factores de emisión entregados por la metodología, tiempos de operación en aeródromos, haciendo una distinción categórica en las emisiones por sobre y bajo los 915 metros de altura, donde estas últimas son el objetivo principal del estudio. A su vez, el modelo considera distintos supuestos en relación a los tipos de aeronaves y a los modos de operación en aeródromos. Los resultados de esta investigación corresponden a las toneladas anuales emitidas para los principales contaminantes en la aeronáutica: Monóxido de Carbono, Hidrocarburos no quemados, óxidos de nitrógeno, material particulado y dióxido de carbono. Estos son analizados según las regiones del país, los principales aeródromos de la Red Aeroportuaria Nacional y las aeronaves que operan en el territorio.es_CL
dc.description.abstractThis study contemplates the creation of an inventory of the aviation sector’s greenhouse gas emissions, specifically from the main Chilean airfields in 2015. This inventory is generated using an international methodology and a database that contains roughly 440,000 aircraft movements, provided by DGAC (Spanish acronym for General Directorate of Civil Aviation). The emissions are calculated based on emission factors given by the methodology and airfields’ operation times, doing a categorical distinction in emissions above and below 915 meters high, where these latter are the principal aim of this study. At the same time, the model considers different assumptions in terms of the aircraft types and operation modes in airfields. The results from the investigation refer to the annual tons emitted by the aviation’s main contaminants: carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, particulate matter and carbon dioxide. These contaminants are analyzed by: regions within the country, the main airfields in the National Aviation Network and the operating aircrafts within the territory.eng
