Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo es proponer un método evolutivo de diseño de bases de datos XML. Para ello se analizan métodos ágiles de diseño de bases de datos relaciones y su posible adaptación a bases de datos XML, incluyendo una discusión sobre prácticas como el diseño orientado a las pruebas TDD, el refactoring, las migraciones de datos y las herramientas de apoyo necesarias. En este trabajo se concluye que el diseño evolutivo de bases de datos XML es
actible, que no es posible llevar a cabo diseño evolutivo de bases datos sin herramientas que lo soporten y que el desarrollo de dichas herramientas no es trivial.
The objective of this work is to consider deliver an evolutionary method to design XML databases. Agile methodologies for relational databases are analyzed and the possibility of its application in XML databases, including a discussion about practices like test driven development TDD, refactoring, data migrations and the necessary tools. This work concludes that the evolutionary design of XML databases is very feasible, that it is not possible to do evolutive design without the appropriate tools and finally that such tools are very hard to develop.
