Abstract
Este estudio se centra en la problemática del uso de hashtags en la red social Twitter, donde la creación desordenada de etiquetas similares y la evolución constante de su significado dificultan su interpretación. Para abordar este problema, se propone una investigación exhaustiva que busca desarrollar una tipología de hashtags y comprender su comportamiento en profundidad. La metodología se basa en la extracción y análisis de atributos relacionados con los hashtags, como su frecuencia de uso, estabilidad en el tiempo y co-ocurrencia con otros hashtags. El estudio se apoya en un conjunto de datos recopilados de Twitter y utiliza un algoritmo de clustering para categorizar los hashtags en grupos.
This study focuses on the hashtag usage on the social media platform Twitter, where the chaotic creation of similar tags and the constant evolution of their meanings make their interpretation a challenge. To address this problem, an in-depth investigation is proposed with the aim of developing a typology of hashtags and gaining a deeper understanding of their behavior. The methodology relies on the extraction and analysis of characteristics related to hashtags, such as their frequency of use, stability over time, and co-occurrence with other hashtags. The study is supported by a dataset collected from Twitter and uses a clustering algorithm to categorize hashtags groups.
