Abstract
En la investigación realizada en esta memoria se demostró la importancia y utilidad quetienen los FBO, tanto en Chile como en el mundo, ya que sin estos todos los vuelostendrían que ser atendidos en las terminales públicas generando una gran congestión yaglutinamiento de pasajeros.Del análisis realizado, en el proceso de atención de vuelos en el aeropuerto internacionalCarlos Ibáñez del Campo, el cual consiste en trasladar a los pasajeros y tripulación,desde la aeronave hasta el terminal público para realizar los servicios de migraciones, elencargado de esto es el handler. En la actualidad estas labores no se realizan en unespacio físico, por lo que se demuestra la importancia de tener un FBO, que cuente conespacios físicos para el área de operaciones, e incluso áreas exclusivas paratripulaciones.En cuanto a la localización del FBO, se llego a la propuesta de que se emplace en lazona de hangares del aeropuerto, siendo una excelente alternativa para las aeronavesprivadas.Mediante un estudio de mercado se determinó la oferta y demanda proyectada delservicio de FBO, en base a la estadística de los últimos tres años lo que demostró queexiste una potencial brecha, que podría ser cubierta por el proyecto.Finalmente el estudio técnico permitió cuantificar los costos de la operación, y elestudio económico reflejó las ganancias que tendría el proyecto resultando como opciónmás atractiva el escenario con las siguientes características. Proyecto financiado al 90%,con un VAN de USD 2.048.060, TIR de 19%, una TIRM de 9,87% y Payback a 19 años.
In this abstract, it was described through research, the importance and the utility that theFBO has in Chile and in the world, because without these, all flights would have to beserviced in public terminals, which would consequently generate a great amount ofcongestion and traffic load in the normal processes of a public terminal.From the analysis of the airport’s inbound flight process has also been done for theCarlos Ibáñez del Campo International Airport, this consisted in the transport of thepassengers and flight crew from the aircraft to the public terminal in order to do theimmigration process, the handler is the person in charge of this process. These tasks arenot done within a physical space, so it prove the importance of the FBO in this case,which do have physical places for operations, including areas that are exclusive for theflight crew.Because of this, an FBO proposal is being presented, with a specific physical location inthe hangar area of the airport, therefore becoming an excellent alternative for privateaircraft.With the use of market research, the projected supply and demand has been determinedfor the FBO service, based on the statistics taken from the last three years of airportoperations in Punta Arenas. As a result, it has been discovered that there is a potentialneed in which the project can satisfy.Lastly, an technical study evidence the quantification of the operational costs of theoperation, and an economics study reflected the profits that the project would have,obtaining as a result the most profitable option, with a 90% project financing, an NPV ofUSD 2.048.060, an IRR of 19%, an MIRR of 9,87% and a Payback of 19 years.
