Abstract
This work proposes an adaptation of the agile process flow of the UTFSM Software Fair (Feria de Software), which spans the courses GPI and TDPI, to the current reality of its projects. The existing framework, defined in 2019 and based on Scrum, does not account for the shift of projects toward solutions built around a Machine Learning model, the use of artificial intelligence tools in development, or the greater innovation and entrepreneurship requirements of the new curriculum. Based on an analysis of that framework, the literature, the author’s experience as a student and teaching assistant, and a review of the projects presented between 2018 and 2025, a proposal was documented that keeps the ceremonies, roles and schedule of the existing framework. The proposal classifies projects by their nature and integrates CRISP-DM into projects that train their own model, replaces the Project Plan with a Design Document that is updated every sprint, and formalizes an entrepreneurship process. It was validated with a specialist from the 3IE and through a survey of 63 students, teaching assistants and professors, which validated six of the seven proposals, three of them with feasibility observations, and in which 90% of participants would apply or recommend it, fully or in part.
