Abstract

Con el objetivo de realzar el valor de los músicos de Valparaíso, ciudad creativa de la música, reconocida por sus distinciones culturales y patrimoniales, se diseña un proyecto de título, el cual busca a través de la experimentación, generar un artefacto diseñado para optimizar la proyección del sonido emitido por los intérpretes, ofreciendo una experiencia de audición más potente y clara para los artistas y sus espectadores. El dispositivo tiene por característica principal ser itinerante. Es por eso por lo que se compone de diferentes módulos, y su material predominante son láminas de acero inoxidables, elegidas por su ligereza y modulación, ideal para ser transportado y armado sin la necesidad de grandes maquinarias. El diseño ha sido optimizado mediante un enfoque acústico apoyado en herramientas como Grasshopper y Pachyderm, que permitieron simular y predecir el redireccionamiento del sonido, contribuyendo también a definir la forma final del artefacto. Este proyecto plantea una nueva forma de valorar la música en los espacios públicos de la ciudad, al reconocer y dignificar el rol del músico, y al convertirse en un evento propio de Valparaíso.

In order to enhance the value of the musicians of Valparaíso, a creative city of music, recognized for its cultural and heritage distinctions, a title project is designed, which seeks through experimentation, to generate an artifact designed to optimize the projection of the sound emitted by the performers, offering a more powerful and clear listening experience for the artists and their spectators. The main characteristic of the device is to be itinerant. That is why it is composed of different modules, and its predominant material is stainless steel sheets, chosen for their lightness and modulation, ideal to be transported and assembled without the need for large machinery. The design has been optimized through an acoustic approach supported by tools such as Grasshopper and Pachyderm, which allowed to simulate and predict the redirection of sound, also contributing to define the final shape of the artifact. This project proposes a new way of valuing music in the city's public spaces, by recognizing and dignifying the role of the musician, and by becoming an event unique to Valparaíso.
