Abstract
El siguiente trabajo gira en torno al mercado de la salud en Chile, específicamente sobre una de las maneras en las que el estado logra entregar servicios a pacientes que la red pública actual no puede proveer. Actualmente el sistema de salud público no logra abastecer a todos las personas que debiese, y es por esta razón que el estado se ve en la necesidad de comprar prestaciones a los distintos proveedores privados, para así entregar atención pública a aquellos pacientes que lo necesiten de urgencia. Dentro del estudio se analiza las soluciones de distintos países a problemas similares, para lograr un mejor entendimiento de la situación actual. También se entregan distinta cifras que hacen referencia a esta derivación y a su evolución durante el tiempo. Finalmente se analiza como esta situación impacta en el mercado, desde el punto de vista de la concentración del mismo, y se realizan propuestas para modificar la situación actual en la búsqueda de solucionar los problemas encontrados durante la investigación.
The following work revolves around the healthcare market in Chile, specifically about one of the ways in which the state manages to deliver services to patients that the current public network cannot provide. Currently the public health system does not supply all the people it should, and it is for this reason that the state is in the need to buy services to various private providers in order to deliver public attention to those patients in need. Within the study solutions across di_erent countries with similar problems are analyzed to gain a better understanding of the current situation. Di_erent figures related to this solution, buying from private providers, and its evolution over time are also given, in order to have definitive evidence as to how the government is spending its resources in health care. Finally, we analyze how this situation a_ects the market, from the point of view of the concentration, and proposals are made to change the current situation in the quest to solve the problems found during the investigation.
