CREACIÓN DE UNA APLICACIÓN PARA DISPOSITIVOS MÓVILES PARA UNA EMPRESA DE PESCA SUSTENTABLE

Abstract

Las técnicas abusivas de pesca, la pesca ilegal no declarada y la gran sobreexplotación de los recursos pesqueros en los últimos 30 años, han disminuido las poblaciones marinas a tasas alarmantes, poniendo en peligro el bienestar de las generaciones actuales y futuras. Por otra parte, actualmente en Chile no existe información actualizada que sea accesible de forma rápida y directa acerca de que productos marinos pueden ser consumidos sin afectar al medio ambiente, menos aún a los restaurantes o empresas que se preocupan de vender este tipo de productos. Por estos y otros motivos, la empresa Pesca en Linea pretende acercar esta información a los consumidores y generar consciencia sobre ci tema. Para ello, se desarrolla una aplicación móvil multiplataforma (Android, iOS y BlackBerry), en la cual se informa acerca de la sustentabilidad de las especies marinas que la empresa distribuye, transparentando la trazabilidad de sus productos desde el lugar de extracción hasta los puntos de venta o restaurantes donde se encuentran. De esta forma, la aplicación le agrega valor no solo a la empresa sino que también a sus clientes habituales ayudando a fortalecer lazos comerciales. Además, con el fin de economizar tiempo y gastos a Ia empresa, se incluye en la aplicación un sistema de notificaciones que permite facilitar el contacto con sus clientes de forma masiva, ágil y efectiva.

Stocks in the sea have decreased at an alarming rate due to abusive fishing techniques, unreported illegal fishing and enormous overfishing in the last 30 years, endangering the present and future generation's welfare. On the other hand, there is no up-to-date information accessible in a fast and direct way currently in Chile, about what seafood can be consumed without affecting the environment, even less restaurants or businesses who sell such products. For these reasons and more, the Pesca en Linea" company intends to bring this information closer to consumers and raising awareness about the issue. To do this, a cross-platform mobile application is developed (Android, iOS and BlackBerry), which provides information about the sustainability of marine species that the company distributes by revealing the traceability of its products from the extraction place to sales points or restaurants where they are located. In this way, the application adds value not only to the company but also to their regular customers by helping to strengthen commercial ties. Besides, to save time and costs for the company, the application includes a notification system allowing contact with customers in a massive, agile and effective way.
