Abstract
Las juntas de expansión son de amplia utilización en la industria, sin embargo, al ser elementos puntuales dentro de una planta o instalación, en general la especificación y selección de cada uno de estos dispositivos se encarga a un especialista que en muchos casos puede ser el proveedor o representante de la marca de los mismos.En el presente trabajo de titulación se exponen diferentes tipos de juntas de expansión, los materiales disponibles, como determinar cuándo se requiere de la utilización de una junta, las herramientas para hacerlo y los puntos de atención importantes para tener en cuenta al momento de seleccionar una junta.También se desarrolla el cálculo de un fuelle metálico de una junta según la norma EJMA para ciertas condiciones dadas, de tal manera de poder mostrar el método de cálculo, el cual será complementado con el cálculo de la vida útil del dispositivo.Por otro lado, se propone realizar un análisis modal de fallos y efectos (AMFE) para el estudio de las solicitaciones que puedan ocurrir durante la utilización de una junta de expansión en un circuito de cañerías.Como una forma de complementar la utilización de una junta de expansión, se realizará una recomendación para el mantenimiento preventivo con base en AMFE.
Expansion joints are widely used in industry, however, are specific elements in a plant or installation and in general the specification and selection of each of these devices is handled by a specialist, who in many cases can be the supplier.The present work, expose types of expansion joints, the available materials, how to select it and when it is required the use of an expansion joint, the tools to do it and the important points of attention to take into account when selecting a joint.It is also developed the calculation of a metal bellows according to EJMA, for given conditions, in order to revise the calculation form. It will be complemented with the calculation of useful life of the device.On the other hand, it is proposed to perform a modal analysis of faults and effects (AMFE) for the analysis of requirements that may occur during the use of an expansion joint in a piping circuit.As a way of complementing the use of an expansion joint, a recommendation will be made for AMFE-based preventive maintenance.
