El rol de la carga aérea en tiempos de pandemia

Abstract

El presente trabajo de título habla sobre la importancia que ha tenido la carga aérea en tiempos de pandemia, principalmente la de COVID-19 que se manifiesta a finales del año 2019 y persiste hasta nuestros días en el año 2021. Esta pandemia ha sido considerada un desafío global en los tiempos actuales, tanto para la salud como en el sector socioeconómico, donde ha puesto a prueba a los países para poder enfrentar el virus y reducir el impacto de la crisis que esta ha provocado. La carga aérea es un negocio fundamental para el desarrollo de las comunidades y la economía mundial, por lo que las aerolíneas han tenido que modificar sus estrategias y modelos de negocio para subsistir en la crisis económica que ha dejado la pandemia. Para identificar este efecto, se realizará una búsqueda de los principales distribuidores de carga y aerolíneas líderes del año 2019, y se identificará de qué manera han trabajado para generar ingresos a pesar de la baja demanda que existe en el transporte de pasajeros. Se realizará una comparación entre las medidas adoptadas en pandemias anteriores como SARS y AH1N1 con la actual pandemia de COVID-19, para analizar qué tan efectivas han sido estas medidas. The present work is about the importance of air cargo in times of pandemic, mainly that of COVID-19 that manifests at the end of 2019 and persists until today in 2021. This pandemic has been considered a global challenge in current times, both in health and socioeconomic terms, where it has put countries to the test to be able to face the virus and reduce the impact of the crisis it has caused. Air cargo is a fundamental business for the development of communities and the world economy, in which airlines are modifying their strategies and business models to survive the economic crisis that the pandemic has left. To identify this effect, a search will be carried out of the main cargo distributors and leading airlines of the year 2019 and it will be identified where they have worked to generate income despite the low demand that exists in passenger transport. A comparison will be made between the measures requested in previous pandemics, such as SARS and AH1N1, with the current COVID-19 pandemic to analyze how effective these measures have been.
