dc.description.abstract In the company's Operations Maintenance area, inventory management carried out through the SAP system and manual controls has led to critical issues, such as stock discrepancies and replenishment delays. To address these inefficiencies, this thesis presents the development and validation of an intelligent system prototype that integrates traceability via QR codes as an IoT solution, a demand prediction engine, and interactive dashboards. The methodology included an "all-against-all" experimental evaluation of four predictive models, specifically ARIMA, Croston/TSB, Random Forest, and XGBoost, on a historical dataset of 230 materials. Functionally, the Python-developed prototype successfully automated data capture and reduced registration time by approximately 80%, dropping from minutes to about 7 seconds per item. Regarding predictive performance, the results contradicted the initial expectation regarding the superiority of complex Machine Learning algorithms. The statistical model ARIMA proved to be the most robust and accurate, as it significantly outperformed alternatives in 46.5% of cases and proved to be the ideal choice for managing the intermittent demand that characterizes 97% of the analyzed MRO inventory. The work concludes by demonstrating the technical feasibility of the solution and its potential to reduce stockouts and optimize immobilized capital through data-driven decisions.en
