Abstract
El siguiente informe tiene como finalidad analizar las características cuantitativas y cualitativas de una nueva división de la empresa Auren Chile, cuyo principal negocio actualmente se centra en la asesoría en temas de contabilidad, finanzas y aspectos legales. Auren Chile es una filial de la empresa Auren Internacional, dedicada principalmente a 3 servicios: auditorías, consultorías y asesorías, y que actualmente cuenta con presencia en Alemania, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, España, Méjico, Países Bajos, Portugal y Uruguay.
Auren Chile se encuentra seriamente comprometida con su clientes y busca mantenerlos satisfechos mediante la prestación de sus servicios. A lo largo de los años la empresa ha demostrado un paulatino crecimiento en sus facturaciones, explicado por el gran aumento que ha experimentando su cartera de clientes y la permanencia de estos. La organización cuenta con 3 sedes (Santiago, Talca y Punta Arenas), las que tienen una ubicación estratégica para poder atender a sus clientes a lo largo del país.
En Chile, Auren ha iniciado recientemente un área de consultoría la cual tiene por objetivo realizar auditorías de eficiencia energética buscando generar ahorro, bajo el nombre de Auren Consultores Internacionales SpA (ACI), esto surge justo en un momento donde en Chile la energía se está transformando en una de las más caras del mundo ocasionando el cierre de muchas empresas, y es en este punto donde se centrará ACI, analizando la situación inicial de sus clientes y buscando optimizar las utilidades de las empresas, mediante la oferta de un software de gestión de energía, servicios de diagnóstico (ingeniería conceptual básica) energético para conocer a grandes rasgos la matriz de costos y consumo de energía y la evaluación de proyectos de eficiencia energética con una estimación de la inversión a realizar y los ahorros que se pueden conseguir, servicios de auditoría (ingeniería de detalle), y el desarrollo de proyectos de eficiencia energética.
Dada estas razones es esperable que en el mediano corto plazo esta nueva área generada por Auren presente un exponencial aumento de demanda, ya que la eficiencia energética es un tema que no ha sido explotado con profundidad en Chile (el año 2015 se dará a conocer la Ley de Eficiencia Energética que pretende promover el uso eficiente de la energía en el país).
A nivel mundial la eficiencia energética es un tema que está tomando mayor relevancia, y en Chile ya se está hablando del objetivo de desacoplar las curvas de consumo energético de la curva del PIB, de potenciar las energías renovables no convencionales y de mejorar la eficiencia energética de las empresas y el sector residencial.
En este trabajo se analiza la situación inicial de la empresa, describiendo el modelo de negocios de ACI y sus recursos, para luego realizar un estudio de la industria y el mercado, generando posteriormente una propuesta para el plan de negocios de la empresa.
Del análisis realizado se generan propuestas enfocadas en definir correctamente el nicho del mercado al que se desea apuntar para una adecuada asignación del los recursos (plan de marketing y comunicaciones, plan de ventas), una contratación progresiva del personal que vaya en función de los proyectos que se vayan firmando con los clientes, y un plan de capacitación para los trabajadores según sea necesario.
De los resultados obtenidos vale destacar que ACI forma parte de una sociedad que le permite contar con una sólida estabilidad financiera, y esto sumado al bajo nivel de inversión que exige una empresa de este tipo, lo que transforma este negocio en un proyecto atractivo.
Para el año 2025 se espera conseguir ahorros superiores a los MM US$ 3.500 en ahorros por eficiencia energética en Chile, en el sector industrial, sector minero, sector de transporte, sector público y sector comercial. Estos proyectos deben ser desarrollados por expertos, y es a este mercado al que apunta ACI, ofreciendo soluciones que van desde el levantamiento de información (medición y verificación) hasta el desarrollo de los proyectos sugeridos.
Es complejo determinar correctamente el comportamiento del mercado, ya que pese a existir potencial de ahorro energético en la industria chilena, las empresas aún no se deciden por realizar una inversión en este campo (aunque las “grandes empresas” ya están desarrollando, de forma interna, políticas de eficiencia energética, renovación de equipos por otros más eficientes, etc.). Se espera que de forma creciente las empresas comiencen a invertir en eficiencia energética según las políticas que vaya desarrollando el gobierno, y que se vea como una herramienta que aumenta la competitividad (sumado al concepto de sostenibilidad).
De la industria se observa que existen competidores consolidados y con prestigio, con presencia en mercados diversos y otros aparentemente más especializados (por ejemplo, en el sector minero, o en el sector vitivinícola). La especialización en rubros específicos de la empresa auditora permite que el cliente sienta más confianza de cómo se evaluarán sus consumos ya que supone un conocimiento previo de sus procesos.
Es importante que una empresa como ACI, que está ingresando al rubro de las auditorías de eficiencia energética, se mantenga al tanto de los avances tecnológicos, regulaciones legales y los mecanismos que busquen impulsar la eficiencia energética en el país, ya que es la única forma de mantener su competitividad en la industria.

In Chile, Auren has recently started a consulting area which aims to make energy efficiency audits seeking to generate savings, under the name Auren International Consultants SpA (ACI as its acronym in Spanish), this arises just at a time when Chile's energy is becoming one of the most expensive in the world causing the closure of many companies, and it is this point that ACI will focus, analyzing the initial situation of its customers and seeking to optimize companies’ profits by offering an energy management software, energy diagnostic services (basic conceptual engineering) to know roughly the cost matrix and energy consumption and evaluation of energy efficiency projects with an estimation of investment to be made and the savings that can be achieved, audit services (detailed engineering), and the development of energy efficiency projects. Due to these reasons it is expected that in the short-medium term this new area generated by Auren presents an exponential increase in demand because energy efficiency is an issue that has not been considered deeply in Chile (in 2015 the energy Efficiency Law will be released; it seeks to promote efficient use of energy in the country). At a global level, energy efficiency is an issue that is becoming more important, and Chile is already talking about the goal to decouple energy consumption curves of GDP curve, to boost non-conventional renewable energy and improve energy efficiency companies and residential sector. In this report the initial position of the company is analyzed, describing the business model of ACI and its resources, then undertake a study of industry and market, generating after this a proposal for the company’s business plan. From the analysis performed, proposals are generated, focused in defining correctly the niche market to be targeted for proper allocation of resources (marketing and communications plan, sales plan), a progressive recruitment of personnel who are based on projects being signed with customers, and a training plan for employees as needed. From the results obtained, it is worth to mention that ACI is part of a society that allows it to have a solid financial stability, and this, plus a low level of investment required by a company of this type, transforms this business in an attractive project. In 2025 it is expected to achieve savings greater than MM US$ 3.500 in savings for energy efficiency in Chile, in industrial, mining, transport, public and commercial sector. These projects should be developed by experts, and this is the target market ACI focuses, offering solutions ranging from information gathering (measurement and verification) to development of the suggested projects. It is complex to correctly determine market behavior, because although there are potential energy savings to be made in the Chilean industry, companies still hesitate for an investment in this field (although Large Companies are already developing energy efficiency policies , renewal of equipment with more efficient ones, etc.). It is expected that companies increasingly begin to invest in energy efficiency according to the policies that the government is developing, which is seen as a tool to increase competitiveness (in addition to the concept of sustainability). Industry shows that there are consolidated and prestigious competitors, with presence in various markets and other apparently more specialized (e.g.: in mining or in the wine sector). The specialization in specific areas of the audit firm enables the customer feel more confident of how their consumption will be assessed as it assumes prior knowledge of their processes. It is important that a company like ACI, which is entering the category of energy efficiency audits, keep aware of technological advances, legal regulations and mechanisms that seek to promote energy efficiency in the country, because it is the only way to stay competitive in the industry.
