Abstract
Perform maintenance activities in mining facilities represent around 60% of the company total budget. According to this, executing projects which optimize the time to perform a maintenance might generate an important decrease in the operational costs. The process is realizing a data management to determine the frequency of intervention of the Crushers and Belts Superintendence of Minera Escondida. With platforms of data base management such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, maintenance Work Orders from 2007 to 2012 a cleanup, categorization and frequency determination job was done. For the cleanup job it was transformed the data which cannot be manipulated as relevant information for handling Such data was selected and categorized in order to determine its relevance and selected them according to this. Once the relevant activities are determined, the main data bases were linked through Access to generate bases which were reviewed to overcome to the intended result. Besides this, a Data Base with the most relevant activities was done. This allows the generation of default notices which will be used in the future by the operators so they can manage common concepts to make their maintenance work easier. The results are saved in final Data Bases wich were delivered to the requesting company for their review and futher use.
