Abstract
This Title Memory Project aims to develop a business plan to successfully establish a branch of the Unimarc supermarket in the municipality of Putaendo, located in the San Felipe province, in the Valparaíso V region. A comprehensive analysis of the environment and the situation of the Unimarc company was carried out, supported by surveys of local residents to understand their preferences and needs. Putaendo stands out for the lack of large trading companies, and despite the presence of minimarkets, self-service stores, and a smaller-scale supermarket, these options do not fully meet the demands and preferences of consumers, especially in the supply of household goods. In this context, Unimarc represents a strategic opportunity to transform the commercial landscape, offering facilitated access to a wide variety of products and brands. This Business Plan focuses on the implementation and evaluation of the feasibility and viability of the project through the detailed analysis of specific plans, including the marketing plan, the operations plan, the start-up plan - organizational design, and the economic-financial plan. Based on the above, an analysis of various scenarios was conducted, supporting the profitability and viability of the project, highlighting a positive Net Present Value (NPV) and an encouraging Internal Rate of Return (IRR) over a period of three years. However, feasibility is conditioned on obtaining legal permits from the municipality and other entities, which impose restrictions on large supermarket chains seeking to establish themselves in the municipality.
