Abstract
Teniendo presente la valiosa existencia por parte de la Academia de Ciencias Aeronáuticas de la Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María de un entrenador sintético que permanece inactivo mensualmente en un significativo número de horas disponibles, en la presente memoria su autor se dará a la tarea de presentar una propuesta de mejoramiento del entrenador sintético VCPT, Virtual Cockpit Procedures Trainer, con la correspondiente construcción de un modelo ideal para su funcionamiento, la documentación del proceso general del entrenador sintético, generando propuestas de mejoramiento para el uso de horas disponibles tanto para pregrado como para la industria aeronáutica. Los servicios a ofrecer en las horas disponibles que posee el entrenador VCPT serán de entrenamiento aeronáutico en un avión simulado, este avión será un Boeing 737NG con un 70% de los equipos operativos, por lo cual el arriendo de una hora en este tipo de entrenador será de $35.000, este valor se obtuvo en referencia al principal competidor que es Microsimulación LTDA. empresa que le asigna un valor de $44.180 la hora de entrenamiento, siendo el entrenador de ellos un Boeing 737-200 con todos sus equipos 100% operativos. Para que esta propuesta de implementación no genere pérdidas se deberán vender como mínimo 80 horas mensuales lo que equivale al 42% de las horas disponibles mensualmente. La propuesta de desarrollo futuro se baso en poder invertir en los equipos que faltan en el VCPT para así lograr tener el 100% de los equipos operativos y crear un ambiente de mayor realismo, con el fin de ofrecer un servicio más completo y de mayor calidad, además de que los alumnos de la carrera de Piloto Comercial y publico en general se vayan familiarizando con los instrumentos que posee un avión real.
