Abstract
En la actualidad nacional, e internacional, la sustentabilidad ha tomado con el pasar de los años cada vez más relevancia para la sociedad y con ello para las autoridades de cada nación, traduciéndose así en una prioridad para los gobiernos dada la transversalidad en la preocupación sobre el tema en la sociedad.Es en este contexto que en Chile nacen múltiples iniciativas destacando para el rubro de la construcción por ejemplo la proveniente desde el trabajo conjunto de los Ministerios de Obras Públicas, Vivienda y Urbanismo, Energía y del Medio Ambiente que, con el objetivo de coordinar, promover, difundir y fomentar la construcción sustentable en el país elabora la denominada “Estrategia nacional de construcción sustentable”. A través de este tipo de trabajos se establecen metas en la materia como por ejemplo la reducción de un 20% de las emisiones de CO2 para el año 2020 y una reducción de la demanda energética del 12% para el mismo periodo.Es así como se plantea la necesidad de desarrollar nuevos métodos y sistemas que den solución a la necesidad de sustentabilidad en la construcción, haciéndose de vital importancia la eficiencia en el aprovechamiento de los recursos y la promoción del ahorro energético, entre otros. Surge entonces como consecuencia la preocupación por la reducción de consumo energético y de emisión de partículas asociada al concepto de la calefacción y climatización presentes en la mayoría de las construcciones, obviamente proponiendo alternativas que evidencien una viabilidad a mediano o largo plazo.A partir de las problemáticas planteadas es que distintos tipos de organizaciones, empresas y profesionales en general del rubro de la construcción han trabajado en el desarrollo de soluciones constructivas sustentables, naciendo entre estas la propuesta del sistema Log Home como un sistema que otorga características de eficiencia energética. En la actualidad este sistema está presente principalmente en la zona de Norte América y se plantea como una alternativa a implementar en zonas cordilleranas de la zona sur de nuestro país.El presente estudio indagará particularmente en el desarrollo del sistema constructivo Log Home en el rubro del turismo en el sur de Chile como alternativa de construcción energética y económicamente sustentable. Se presentan tanto sus grandes bondades energéticas como sus contras en general y en su implementación en proyectos de alojamiento turístico, además de una descripción detallada de su implementación.
In the national and international levels, sustainability has taken with the passing of the years more and more relevance for society and for the authorities of each nation, as well as a priority for the government of the day given the transversality in the concern on the subject in society.It is in this context that in Chile are born many initiatives highlighting for the construction, for example, from the working group of the Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of the Environment, with the aim to coordinate, promote, disseminate and foment the sustainable construction in the country produces the so-called "National Strategy for sustainable construction". Through this type of work goals are established in the field such as the reduction of 20% of the CO2 emissions for the year 2020 and a reduction of the energy demand of 12% for the same period.It is as well as the need to develop new methods and systems that provide a solution to the need for sustainability in the construction, of vital importance to the efficiency in the use of resources and the promotion of energy saving, among others. Then, arises as a result of the concern over the reduction of energy consumption and emission of particles associated to the concept of the heating and air conditioning present in most of the buildings, obviously proposing alternatives that demonstrate viability in the medium or long term.On the basis of the problems raised is that different types of organizations, companies and professionals in the field of construction have worked in the development of constructive solutions sustainable, among these the proposal of the System Log Home as a system that gives energy-efficiency features. This system is mainly present in the area of North America and arises as an alternative to implement in a mountain region of the southern area of our country.The present study will consider particularly in the development of the constructive system Log Home in the heading of the tourism in the south of Chile as a build alternative energy and economically sustainable. It presents both its great energy benefits as well as its cons in its implementation in tourist lodging projects, in addition to a detailed description of its implementation.
