Adaptar, integrar, transformar: centro para la neurodivergencia en Playa Ancha, Valparaíso

Abstract

La presente memoria desarrolla, desde una perspectiva neuroinclusiva, el diseño de un centro para la neurodivergencia en Playa Ancha, Valparaíso. El proyecto busca suplir la falta de infraestructura que cubra necesidades sensoriales, sociales y cognitivas de las neurodivergencias, especialmente en espacios educativos y terapéuticos. Luego de recabar información de condiciones como el TEA y el TDAH, y antecedentes de la neuroinclusión en Chile, se proponen criterios arquitectónicos que buscan enriquecer y mover la normativa actual, a la vez que construir espacios que favorezcan la experiencia de las neurodivergencias. El centro contempla zonas terapéuticas, educativas, de uso común y de servicios, que buscan mejorar la calidad de vida no solo de las diversas neurodivergencias, sino de toda la comunidad. Este trabajo no solo busca responder a las necesidades de los usuarios y la comunidad, sino sentar precedente en lo que respecta a la neuroinclusión y su integración espacial y social, permitiendo que puedan desenvolverse con seguridad y mayor autonomía, interactuando de una manera más sana con el espacio.

The present report develops, from a neuroinclusive perspective, the design of a center for neurodivergence in Playa Ancha, Valparaíso. The project seeks to make up for the lack of infrastructure that meets the sensory, social and cognitive needs of neurodivergences, especially in educational and therapeutic spaces. After gathering information from conditions such as ASD and ADHD, and background of neuroinclusion in Chile, architectural criteria are proposed that seek to enrich and move the current regulations, while building spaces that favor the experience of neurodivergences. The center includes therapeutic, educational, common use and service areas, which seek to improve the quality of life not only of the various neurodivergences, but of the entire community. This work not only seeks to respond to the needs of users and the community, but to set a precedent with regard to neuroinclusion and its spatial and social integration, allowing them to develop safely and with greater autonomy, interacting in a healthier way with space.
