Abstract
La constante búsqueda de energías renovables para el cuidado del planeta y la
creciente demanda mundial por la utilización de vehículos, ha provocado que la
industria comience a implementar alternativas para complementar estas
situaciones siendo sustentables, es en este contexto que las baterías pasan a
ser factor relevante como acumuladores de energía para dar movilidad a los
vehículos sin contaminar.
Las baterías están compuestas por Litio, lo que ha provocado que en los últimos
tres años la demanda por este elemento crezca de forma exponencial y con
proyecciones de seguir aumentando de la mano con la demanda mundial de
vehículos, considerando que en un futuro todos contaran con esta tecnología.
Considerando estos factores es que la Planta de SQM que produce Carbonato
de Litio en Antofagasta desde hace 20 años, pretende ser competitiva con su
planta actual, mantener su capacidad de producción y seguir siendo líder en el
mercado del Carbonato de Litio.
El siguiente estudio pretende cubrir este problema, realizando análisis de
situación actual en la mantención y operación de la planta, aplicar indicadores y
ajustar métricas para detectar brechas, poder hacer propuestas de inversión que
impacten en la calidad, disponibilidad y desempeño de los equipos, teniendo
como objetivo minimizar las perdidas y adaptar la planta a la compleja
competencia futura adaptando su tecnología, sacando máximo provecho a su
experiencia para realizar innovación en equipos y procesos.
The constant search for renewable energies for the care of the planet and the growing global demand for the use of vehicles, has caused industry to start implementing alternatives to complement these situations by being sustainable, It is in this context that batteries become a relevant factor as energy accumulators to give mobility to uncontaminated vehicles. The batteries are made up of Lithium, which has caused demand for this element to grow exponentially over the past three years and with projections of continuing to grow hand in hand with global demand for vehicles, considering that in the future everyone will have this technology. Considering these factors is that the SQM Plant that produces Lithium Carbonate in Antofagasta for 20 years, aims to be competitive with its current plant, maintain its production capacity and remain a leader in the Lithium Carbonate market. The following study aims to cover this problem by carrying out analysis of the current situation in the maintenance and operation of the plant, applying indicators and adjusting metrics to detect gaps, be able to make investment proposals that impact on the quality, availability and performance of equipment, with the aim of minimising losses and adapting the plant to complex future competition by adapting its technology, making the most of your experience to achieve innovation in equipment and processes.
