ESTUDIO Y DETERMINACIÓN DEL SALARIO MÍNIMO EN CHILE

Abstract

A lo largo de la historia de Chile se puede apreciar una evolución del controversial Salario Mínimo, tema que se expondrá a continuación, cuyo objetivo será determinar la efectividad real del monto que actualmente representa. Se establecerán criterios para evaluarlo y clarificar principalmente cual es el salario más tolerable en el que se debería situar dicho monto, cifra con la cual año a año millones de chilenos deben conformarse por ley y con el cual deben vivir diariamente junto a sus familias. Si es debatible o no, eso no es lo relevante, lo realmente importante es si día a día las personas son capaces de satisfacer sus necesidades, al destinar el ingreso percibido a los diversos gastos mensuales en los que deben incurrir. Para ello se simulará una serie de gastos típicos y en su mayoría fundamentales para vivir, elaborando un análisis conservador y objetivo, que permita comprobar que tan eficiente es el Salario Mínimo en Chile. El Salario Mínimo es un tema que se trata a nivel global, porque es una variable que impacta a todo ser humano, ya que determina su calidad de vida en un alto porcentaje. Por esta razón es posible establecer criterios de comparación y determinar qué oportunidades pueden ser adquiridas para generar una metodología más adecuada, que permita conseguir la cifra mínima óptima que a su vez no perjudique el equilibrio económico del país.Throughout the history of Chile, it can be seen a controversial evolution of Minimum Wage, topic that will be discussed next, which purpose will be to determine the actual effectiveness of the amount it currently represents. Criteria will be established to evaluate it and mainly clarify what is the most tolerable wage that should put that amount, figure which every year millions of Chileans must comply by law and must live with it daily with their families. Whether it is debatable or not, that is not relevant, what really matters is whether everyday people are able to meet their needs, to allocate earned income to sundry monthly expenses they must incur. For that purpose, it will be simulated a number of typical expenses and mostly necessary, developing a conservative and objective analysis, to verify how efficient is the minimum wage in Chile. The minimum wage is an issue that is dealt in a global level, because it is a variable that impacts to every human being, because it determines the quality of life in a high percentage. Therefore, it is possible to establish comparison criteria and determine what opportunities can be acquired to develop a more appropriate methodology, which allows to achieve the optimum minimum figure, which in turn, does not harm the economic balance of the country.
