Abstract
This study was developed with the purpose of being able to determine the economic feasibility of the cycleway infrastructure of the Master Transport Plan for Santiago 2025. The multiple benefits are, health and environmental improvements, accidents reduction, parking cost, fuel and time savings. An assessment of the Master Transport Plan has already been conducted, but this process was carried out with the current government methodology. In this study it was proven that the perceived benefits are significantly better considering other cycling variables and the estimated increasing demand. Regarding the proposed methodology, an election model of incremental mode was first used to determine the future demand under two scenarios, the incremental and the policy target, after this the benefits and variable costs affected by the demand were determined.
