dc.description.abstract Implant-supported restorations are widely used for the rehabilitation of missing teeth, restoring masticatory function, aesthetics, and contributing to the preservation of the surrounding bone tissue. In this context, the objective of this study was to biomechanically evaluate, through finite element analysis, the mechanical behavior and service life of a prosthetic solution consisting of an Angulated Screw Channel (ASC) abutment for the anterior region and a Straight Screw Channel (SSC) abutment for the posterior region, considering a cement-screw-retained crown-abutment connection. To achieve this objective, three-dimensional models of both implant-supported solutions were developed in ANSYS using geometries obtained from an intraoral scanner and commercial catalogs. Static simulations and fatigue analyses were performed under representative conditions of normal mastication by applying loads of 140 N and 200 N, both inclined 30° with respect to the implant axis, for the anterior and posterior solutions, respectively. The analyses included the evaluation of stress distribution within the prosthetic components, peri-implant tissue deformation, static safety factors, and the service life of both solutions. The results demonstrate that both ASC and SSC configurations exhibit adequate biomechanical performance under the loading conditions considered, achieving static safety factors greater than one and infinite fatigue life under normal masticatory loading. The abutment was identified as the most mechanically critical component of the system, while both solutions exhibited similar load transfer patterns, differing mainly in the magnitude of the stresses. Furthermore, the inclusion of gingival tissue and screw preload significantly influenced(...)en
