Abstract
El presente documento, corresponde al trabajo de titulación para postular al grado de Ingeniero Civil Mecánico. Esta memoria, consiste en la generación de una propuesta para reducir una falla recurrente en los productos de una Empresa Manufacturera de Neumáticos, denominada "Empalme de Banda Abierto", consistente en la presencia de un espacio mayor a los 4 [mm], según los estándares de la empresa.
La propuesta apunta al ajuste de ciertas variables críticas del proceso esperando obtener una disminución del 54% del total de la falla E.B.A. con perfil Asimétrico (Perfil parabólico inclinado hacia alguno de los extremos de la banda de rodadura), estimándose un ahorro mensual de 5.760 [USD/mes] por materia prima, y 1.610 minutos ahorrados en el mes en términos de reparaciones.
The present Document, corresponds to the degree work in order to obtain the degree of Civil Mechanical Engineer, it consists on the generation of a solution proposal in order to reduce a chronic failure called "Open tread Splice", which means the presence of a gap longer than 4 [mm] between tread’s edges, which it’s out of business’ standards. The aim of this proposal is to adjust certain critic to process variables hoping to obtain a 54% decrease from the total of the failure O.T.S. with asymmetric profile (parabolic profile inclined towards one of the tread’s shoulders), estimating monthly savings of 5760 [USD/month] for raw material, and 1610 minutes saved in repairs terms.
