DESARROLLO DE UN PLAN DE MANTENIMIENTO PARA EXCAVADORAS CATERPILLAR MODELO 320 EN RENTAL - FINNING EN BASE A LA METODOLOGÍA RCM

Abstract

El trabajo presentado en esta memoria de título tiene como objetivo proponer un nuevoplan de mantenimiento, considerando el riesgo cliente y las características que mayorcorrelación tienen con los costos de mantención-reparación, de tal forma de disminuirdichos costos y las consecuencias de ocurrencia de las fallas que actualmente presentan lasexcavadoras CAT modelo 320 en Rental-Finning, ubicada en la casa matriz de la regiónMetropolitana, Chile. Esta empresa se dedica al arriendo de equipos de movimiento detierras, entre ellos las excavadoras Caterpillar y tienen clientes a lo largo del país con rubrosasociados a minería, construcción, ingeniería, energía, entre otros.La solución a esta problemática está basada en la aplicación de la metodología del“Mantenimiento Centrado en la Confiabilidad”, conocido por las siglas RCM, el cualconsiste en una serie de pasos a seguir 3.2.2.1, donde se definen las funciones, fallasfuncionales, modos de falla, efectos y consecuencias que ocasionan esas fallas y finalmentese proponen tareas de mantenimiento para predecir y prevenir dichas fallas a un costofactible que reduzca las consecuencias que afectan a las excavadoras.Complementario a esto, se analizaron características de los clientes como: zonas geográficasdonde están ubicadas las faenas, modelos de excavadoras que les son asignadas yrubro de su negocio. Se construyó la base de datos de clientes y los costos de mantención yreparación que tienen durante el periodo del contrato de arriendo, para finalmente analizarcuáles son los clientes que más costos generan a Rental-Finning. The work presented in this title report aims to propose a new maintenance plan, consideringthe client risk and their characteristics that have the highest correlation withmaintenance-repair costs, in order to reduce these costs and the consequences of the occurrenceof the faults that currently present CAT 320 excavator in Rental-Finning, located inthe headquarters of the Metropolitan region, Chile. This company is dedicated to the rentalof earthmoving equipment, including Caterpillar excavators and have customers throughoutthe country with items associated with mining, construction, engineering, energy, amongothers.The solution to this problem is based on the application of the methodology of “ReliabilityCentered Maintenance”, known by the acronym RCM, which consists of a series ofsteps to be followed, where functions, functional failures, are defined, failure modes, eectsand consequences that cause these failures and finally, maintenance tasks are proposed topredict and prevent such failures at a feasible cost that reduces the consequences that aectthe excavators.Complementary to this, customer characteristics were analyzed such as: the geographicalareas where the work is located, models of excavators that are assigned to it and thebusiness line. The customer base and the maintenance and repair costs assigned to themduring the lease contract period were built, to finally analyze which customers generate themost costs for Rental-Finning. (...)
