Abstract
Due to increasing business use of mobile devices, it is important to keep up-todate on the mobile application market, especially applications that can benefit an organization. Moreover, when selecting applications for business use, it is important to clearly define criteria that will allow for a systematic comparison between applications. One of the key application areas in mobile computing is Business Intelligence, specifically multidimensional analysis (OLAP). This work presents a detailed overview of available mobile Business Intelligence applications, which allowed the identification of key features that this type of application ought to have. Based on this study, both functional and non-functional comparison criteria were identified, and the studied applications were then compared with respect to these criteria. Achieving usability in mobile environments is a major challenge for developers, especially in complex applications like Business Intelligence applications, and is often the deciding factor when opting for one tool over other. The same applies to other general characteristics that any enterprise-level application should meet, leading to a more thorough comparison. A well-rounded OLAP application should meet most of the criteria identi ed in this work.
