Abstract
Hidrolab S.A. es un laboratorio de aguas que presta servicios analíticos de laboratorio, monitoreo ambiental y asesorías técnicas. Entre las áreas que permiten el funcionamiento de Hidrolab S.A. se encuentra el área de monitoreo. El área de monitoreo se encarga de la realización del servicio de monitoreo ambiental y de la toma de muestras para ser entregadas en el laboratorio. En la actualidad el área se encuentra produciendo muchos errores que están asociados a la forma de realizar los trabajos. La presente memoria pretende estudiar el comportamiento del área de monitoreo para realizar un mejoramiento de los procesos del área. La metodología de estudio utilizada es la siguiente:1.Análisis de la situación actual.2.Determinar las tareas y actividades más sensibles de los procesos.3.Identificar y analizar las problemáticas y sus posibles soluciones.4.Proponer una mejora a los procesos y su impacto técnico y económico. Durante el desarrollo del estudio se usan herramientas de la gestión de calidad. El análisis global de la empresa es realizado usando la herramienta de metodología DMAIC de la filosofía Seis Sigma, esta herramienta entrega los pasos de estudio necesarios para un análisis enfocado en la calidad. Los pasos secuenciales que dan el nombre a la sigla DMAIC son; Definir, Medir, Analizar, Mejorar (Improveen inglés) y Controlar. Durante los pasos de esta metodología se usan herramientas de la calidad como histogramas, diagramas de flujo, diagramas causa y efecto, diagrama SIPOC, diagramas de Pareto.

Among the areas that allow the operation of Hidrolab SA is area monitoring.The area is responsible for monitoring the performance of service environmental monitoring and sampling to be delivered to the laboratory. Today the area is producing many errors that are associated with how to perform the work.This memory tries to study the behavior of the monitoring area for a process improvement area.The study methodology used is as follows:1.Analysis of the current situation.2.Determine the tasks and activities of the most sensitive processes.3.Identify and analyze the problems and possible solutions.4.Suggest improvements to processes and their technical and economic impact.During the course of the study tools used quality management. The overall analysis of the company is conducted using the tool DMAIC methodology of Six Sigma philosophy, this tool provides the steps needed to study analysis focused on quality. The sequential steps that give the name to the acronym DMAIC are; Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control.During the steps of this methodology quality tools as histograms, flow charts, cause and effect diagrams, SIPOC diagram, Pareto charts are used.
