Abstract
Plásticos Hoffens es una de las principales empresas fabricadoras y comercializadoras de productos para el transporte de fluidos del país, destacándose entre sus productos las tuberías y canaletas. Motivados por la falta de equipos de respaldo en su sistema de aire comprimido y para mejorar la eficiencia energética de él, se decide realizar algunas modificaciones que permitan superar los problemas mencionados. Actualmente la empresa consta de tres compresores de tornillo operativos, siendo uno de ellos de velocidad variable, con una potencia de 45 kW y los otros dos de velocidad fija y una potencia de 30 kW. Para suplir las necesidades de la empresa deben estar en constante funcionamiento los tres compresores, sin contar con un respaldo ante eventualidades. Se decide adquirir tres nuevos compresores de 75 kW cada uno, siendo dos de ellos de velocidad variable. Uno de ellos queda en stand-by como forma de respaldo. El presente trabajo realiza el diseño del nuevo sistema de aire comprimido, el cual se divide en dos partes: sala de compresores y red de tuberías.

It is decided to acquire three new compressors of 75 kW each, two of them with variable speed. One of them is in stand-by as a form of backup.
