Abstract
Chile is the country who has more trade agreements with the rest of the world, which means that exist a great opportunity to reach other markets by taking advantage of these deals. China, as the destination for the most of the products exported from Chile, the second world economic power and have the largest population in the world, becomes the most attractive international market for the country. This is supported by the Free Trade Agreement signed between both countries in 2006, which allows most of the goods exchanged are free of interest through Customs Tariff. Moreover, Business Intelligence is a relatively new area in computer science, which involves the processing and analysis of large volumes of data and which aims to support the different areas of the business through the delivery of information. Because of this, is that this work focuses on the descriptive and exploratory analysis of the historical data collected by the Chilean customs and delivered by the client, the Chamber of Commerce Asia Pacific, respect to commercial exchange between both countries, through business intelligence techniques for describing and then discovering relevant information that is helpful for Chilean exporters or importers. Through the work done is possible to verify the feasibility of managing large volumes of data through a graphical interface of a business intelligence tool that allows the user to know that economic context will develop a specific exchange of products, delivering key elements of the current situation and the trend of trade between the two countries, in order to analyze these factors, which allow the user to provide evidence of performance to expect from business analysis.
